WHAT IS GATE 40 IN HUMAN DESIGN?
Gate 40 in Human Design is called the gate of ‘aloneness’ or ‘deliverance’ in iChing - the energy to commit to provide and serve the tribe through willpower.
In traditional Human Design, gate 40 is known as;
A Part seeking the Whole
…which is the individual’s journey to finding their independence (through aloneness) plus becoming Whole in Self and also by being a serving part to the whole community.
Gate 40 sits in the Will (heart) center and is connected to the Solar Plexus via Gate 37 of Family/ Friendship.
Together they form the channel of Community (37 - 40) bringing the energy and will to work for providing the community (serving) what it needs through individuated excellence.
People with Gate 40 appreciate the ebb and flow of effort & surrender and are natural masters of using willpower to manifest rather than forcing results.
You are community-minded yet need time alone to recharge and replenish your inner and outer resources. This means, boundaries are of crucial importance in your unfolding as a Gate 40.
The heart center being our willpower center provides energy for balancing the work and rest dynamics, guiding us on establishing firm boundaries for unlocking max potential.
Also, this center determines what material needs to provide and work for and what efforts to let go of and surrender to the Higher Will in order for the tribe to thrive as a whole.

GATE 40 TRANSIT ENERGY & COMMUNICATION THEMES
As I write this post, Gate 40 is stationed in the Solar (sun) transit which happens around the end of August each year.

The way out can be through learning to establish boundaries, valuing your energy and surrendering to the natural flow of things.

When your life force is aligned correctly, you discover that there is a vast amount of energy available to you.
This gift is about becoming adept at giving to yourself and having boundaries - it is about physical relaxation.
