WHAT IS GATE 50 IN HUMAN DESIGN?

Gate 50 in Human Design is called the gate of ‘values’ or ‘principles’ - which is the awareness of what values to uphold (or challenge) for tribal protection and survival. It’s the sense of responsibility and aligning to the highest moral code for everyone’s safety.

Gate 50 sits in the Spleen center, the center that holds our intuition and our instincts for survival and well-being.

Like all splenic gates, Gate 50 has a survival/primal fear attached to it. Which is the fear of failing the responsibility imagining you will never measure up to it. This means you’d either avoid the responsibility altogether OR take on too much out of guilt/fear and will burnout.

To flip this around and move past this fear, you need to develop stronger and healthier boundaries around family and work spaces.

People with the gate 50 have the instinct to know what morals and values will bring harmony within the family/tribe and strive to enact them. They carry a strong sense of responsibility and caring for the weak or young within the family or society.

Gate 50 connects to the Sacral center via Gate 27, the Gate of Caring - forming the channel of Preservation. This is a very nurturing energy which is all about practical wisdom of maintaining and preserving wellbeing of self and others.

GENE KEY 50 SHADOW AND GIFT

THE SHADOW OF gene key 50 is corruption

…which is a function of data corruption rather than moral or political corruption. What this means is, data that is translated into fear by the human brain is corrupted. Fear causes misinterpretation which leads to reaction, and thus chaos.

This shadow can manifest as submitting to the hierarchy (subdued) out of a deep fear of authoritative systems, suffocating the creative expression.

Or it can manifest as being irresponsible or rebellious against systems out of unconscious anger which may breed corruption. This is as victim-y as the submission to authroity.

The way out is in a balanced individual freedom and tapping into inner peace which then radiates out and harmonizes the surroundings.

THE GIFT OF gene key 50 IS equilibrium (harmony)

…which is a process of balancing opposites so that perfect balance is achieved.

But equilibrium can only be achieved through individual freedom and trusting that this freedom will restore harmony within the group/society.

This goes beyond hierarchy and is a manifestation of the hope in a new social model of equality. Where each has a right to their creative freedom and restoration to their natural state of wellness.
