Why I hired a business coach and how I selected the right one for me, podcast #12

Hello peeps and welcome to my first recording for 2020. I'm afraid the recording quality on this isn't great but I'm hoping the value of the content outweighs that for you!

In this episode I share the reasons why I took the bold step of hiring a coach, in the early stages of launching my business. I cover:

  • The reasons on my mind whilst considering taking this step

  • Additional aspects that the coaching process revealed

  • How I decided exactly who to hire (the legendary Ruby Lee)

I talk about these aspects in more detail:

  • Why I wanted to grow my business quickly and learn from someone who could help me skip steps + avoid mistakes

  • That coaching had already been a part of my successful career

  • My belief it would return positive ROI

  • Transitioning from employment to solopreneurship being a huge deal and that support massively appealed to me

  • My target client skewed to corporate, and I'd decided to use LinkedIn as my primary marketing platform, so I wanted to work with someone who had done that successfully

My belief is that it's best to hire somebody a few steps ahead of you, rather than huge leaps and bounds. This way they thoroughly relate to you and will recall the exact decisions they made along the way, to help you do the same. I'm talking things like marketing funnels, tech, tools and systems.
