WHAT IS GATE 20 IN HUMAN DESIGN?
Gate 20 in Human Design is called the gate of Now or ‘contemplation’ which is all about action in the now and your readiness to act in any situation, well prepared.
This preparedness comes from contemplation which entails letting go of the past (ruminating) and the future (wishful thinking) alike;
>> which lends you a clarity of thought in the present moment
>> and makes the most potent action + outcome possible for you.
Gate 20 is also your capacity to staying open to receiving the gifts of the present moment which often gets lost when we are doubting ourselves or ruminating/romanticizing our past or fretting the future.
So Gate 20 = mindfulness + receptivity + spontaneous action
Seated in the throat center, Gate 20 empowers your self expression + certain action so you harness best of the possibilities of the Now!
Fun Fact: Sarting from Gate 23, we are in a season of throat center gates, with the Sun moving through 7 of 11 throat center gates (all the way up to the solstice mid June).
What this means for you is an amplified voice, being in action mode (the throat is the center for doing + speaking) and more energy to up-level your message.

To live superficially means to live distant, detached and absent from the body and the presrent moment. This is a symptom of mind’s fears and chatter taking over consciousness.
Or this shadow may manifest as mind’s restlessness in effort to counter its fears.
This energy of superficiality when turned into action is blind activity just for the sake of activity.
This looks like being always on the move, always busy and unable to stop. Your busyness will lack actual presence.
THE GIFT OF gene key 20 IS self assurance
Which is about your ability to escape being a victim which results in you exuding self-trust and assuredness.
20th is the gift of calmness and presence resulting from pausing often in contemplation.
The journey from shadow to gift happens when you releases the mind as your decision making authority. You accept that life has its own plans and flow (surrendr), and you stop interfering with that flow on a mental level.
