WHAT IS GATE 7 IN HUMAN DESIGN?
Gate 7 in Human Design is called the gate of ‘Role of Self’ or ‘the Army’ in iChing which is all about leading, guiding and directing human potential toward a higher common goal.
Gate 7 sits in the G Center which is the center for direction, purpose and love and is connected to the Throat center via Gate 31 of Influence. Together they form the channel of the Alpha (7 - 31).
Alphas are natural leaders. The understanding of the ‘self’ of Gate 7 is expressed and manifested through Gate 31’s service-oriented leadership. It’s a projected channel which means you need to be invited to step into the leadership role.
Gate 7 people are leaders of the future and stand their ground based on proven (logical) solutions knowing which ones to discard and which to implement to create a better future for all.
They are the actual mover and shaker of things working to bring order to things (and people) using influence.
With Gate 7, you build trust by exercising what has already worked and then guide forward. The vision is yours but it’s translated for others through templated approaches and results so they elect you with confidence.
Gate 7 leadership is also about working on unlocking your own potential while you wait for the invitation. Otherwise it would mean an empty shell of a leader who hasn’t strived for living out their own potential.

GATE 7 TRANSIT ENERGY & COMMUNICATION THEMES
As I write this post, Gate 7 is stationed in the Solar (sun) transit which happens around the start of August each year.
From a marketing perspective, it’s a good time to share and demonstrate what leadership is all about - values, integrity and service mindset.
Also a good time to reiterate your hero’s journey story with a focus on living in integrity and understanding that authority means responsibility not privilege.

Which is a result of hierarchical systems we use as a way of living and co-operating. These systems that we identify with on a cellular level cause division and power struggles (the need to either be a follower or a leader).
In the 7th shadow, you either never exercise your genetic potential to be a leader and give others authority over you (resulting in frustration or even ailment).
Or on the flip side, you tend to abuse authority by manipulating others with your understanding of human psyche and behavior. Both result in disorder and division.
A way out can be to recognize where you are leaking authority or, conversely, imposing it with force and shift toward a more aligned way of serving with integrity.

Which does not require you to impose yourself onto or manipulate anyone.
This is the gift of being able to help others discover their own way forward instead of squandering their sense of individuality.
